New member of the BES Grants Committee

I have been selected by the British Ecological Society (BES) committee members to join the BES Grant committee. This post if effective immediately and I am very excited about this great opportunity. It allows me to contribute back into a system which has supported me (among many other organisations) in attending conferences and running workshops.  In addition I hope to learn a great deal from the reputable members in this committee and the grants system.

For those of you thinking of joing the BES – it’s free to join in your first year as a student. In addition there are plenty of opportunities to apply for funding to support an undergraduate project, travel and training and small research projects for early career scientists.
